 Virginia mountain homestead! 

We are Dan & Del, married for 39 years, with 3 amazing kids, 2 beautiful granddaughters, and our 1st great grandson, William. 

 We purchased our little mountain cabin alongside the Tye River in 2016, spending every available moment since planning, planting & working on our forever homestead. Dan is retired military, and is now retired from his contracting job. I am a Community Herbalist and owner of Zen Butterfly Herbals. I am currently working on my certification as a Sylvotherapist…

 Most people think we are crazy to plan aging in place & retiring on our mountain homestead, as there's not a single flat piece of land on our almost 12 acres!!! We already have chickens- and a new rooster named Rhett! Bees are in our future...we are currently awaiting a local swarm to find our new apiary! 

We are also volunteering as Trail Angels offering a little trail magic for the AT hikers that are traveling along the 

Appalachian Trail near our cabin!
