Welcome to the beautiful mountains of Virginia! 

Join us, Dan & Del, married for 40 years, as we figure out, work on projects & enjoy retirement at our little homestead along the river!

 We have 3 amazing kids, 2 granddaughters and 2 great grands!!! We purchased our little cabin alongside the river in 2016, spending every available moment since planning, gardening & putting in systems with goals focusing on self-sufficiency, sustainability, and connecting to the land. Dan is retired military, & retired from his contracting job. I am a Community Herbalist, & retired Yoga Instructor/Studio Owner. 

Most people think we are crazy to plan aging in place & retiring on our mountain homestead, as there's not a single flat piece of land on our almost 12 acres!!! We have 2 dogs, Kai (German Shepherd) & Lunette (Chihuahua) & a cat named Gypsy. We already have chickens- and a rooster named Rhett - goats are in our future!
